IEOR Professor Christian Kroer’s book, “Games, Markets, and Online Learning,” will be published by Cambridge University Press. The book is a modern introduction to algorithmic game theory, emphasizing optimization and online learning methods used in contemporary game-theoretic analysis.
The book covers several major applications of algorithmic game theory, including techniques used in superhuman poker AIs, pacing methods used in internet advertising, and the use of competitive equilibrium from equal incomes (CEEI) for fair course seat allocation.
It will be released in March of 2026.
