Wenxuan is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia University where he is co-advised by Professor Adam Elmachtoub and Professor Tianyi Lin. Previously, he obtained a B.E. in Industrial Engineering and Minor in Software Engineering at Tsinghua University.
His research lies in data-driven decision and stochastic optimization. Specifically, he develops algorithms that adopt machine learning methods and data to realize better decisions. He also studies extended topics like privacy and fairness concerns in data-driven optimization and online learning problems.
