Sining Chen

Sining Chen's experience spans academia, research lab, consulting, startup, biomedicine, telecommunications, finance and the entertainment industry. She received her BS in Applied Mathematics from Tsinghua University in Beijing China, a PhD in Statistics from Duke University. Her She was at Johns Hopkins University as an assistant professor, Rutgers University as an associate professor, Bell Labs as member of technical staff, Mies Jansen as Chief Analytic Officer and Warner Music Group as Director of Data Science. She has been an adjunct professor at the Data Science Institute at Columbia University Capstones. She authored and co-authored 33 peer-reviewed publications, three patents and several software and apps. She has taught Bayesian Statistics, Intro to statistics, Intro to Biostatistical Theory, Biological Sequence Analysis and Artificial Intelligence, among others. She is currently the owner of two consulting companies: TheGrantGenie and StatSpot.
