Operations Research: Engineering Management Systems (BSOR:EMS)
Merging Technology & Management
The Engineering Management Systems concentration within the operations research program provides students with an understanding of contemporary technology and management. It is for students who are interested in a technical management background rather than one in a traditional engineering field. Its required courses in industrial engineering and operations research, economics, business, and computer science provide a foundation for dealing with engineering and management systems problems.
Electives in Engineering Management Systems
The undergraduate OR:EMS concentration requires a total of twelve (12) points of technical electives equivalent to four (4) courses and nine (9) points of management electives equivalent to three (3) courses. Two of the four technical electives must have an IEOR designation.
