Mya Edmund

Mya Edmund joins the IEOR team as a Career Placement Officer supporting the MSIE and MSOR programs. Mya holds a B.A. in Psychology from New York University’s College of Arts and Science, with a minor in Business Studies from NYU Stern. Prior to joining Columbia, she served as a Partnership Associate at Cristo Rey New York High School, where she instructed professional development and cultivated relationships with corporate partners to create meaningful professional opportunities for students. Her background in psychology, education, and relationship management informs her approach to advising, with a particular interest in helping individuals better understand their strengths, build confidence in their professional identities, and leverage those strengths to pursue career opportunities. Mya is also pursuing a master’s degree in Adult Learning and Leadership at Columbia University’s Teachers College. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, and painting.
