Jiayu Zhang is a PhD student in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia University. Jiayu joined us in 2024 after studying mathematics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include optimization for machine learning and nonconvex optimization.
