Doors open for IEOR graduates. They are problem solvers pioneering innovation. The rigorous standards of the programs are well known to U.S. and international businesses, many of which have their corporate headquarters in New York City. Graduates of the programs have been successfully placed in prominent positions (e.g., analysts, associates, consultants, strategists, vice presidents, etc.) in prestigious organizations across sectors (e.g., financial services, consulting, manufacturing, technology, government, non-for-profit, and academia).

Tiffany Alexander, Career Placement Officer for for MSOR & MSIE 
Tiffany establishes and maintains relationships with employers in the Operations Research and Industrial Engineering industries to encourage the hiring of students. Her background in the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology and her dedication to graduate student career placement helps Tiffany build lasting sustainable relationships with students, alumni and employers.

Gerald CotiangcoGraduate Student Services Coordinator
Gerald works closely with the Career Placement Officers and the IEOR graduate students on placement. He assists with coordinating career employer events and career talks. In addition, Gerald conducts mock interviews and works with students to tailor their resumes and cover letters to best fit their career goals. 

Tamar HoferCareer Placement Director For MSFE
Tamar establishes and maintains relationships with employers in the Financial Engineering industries to encourage the hiring of students. She assists with the placement of students in the IEOR programs whose career interests align with Financial Engineering. Tamar also collects/analyzes employment data, generates placement and related reports for the Department/School.

Mindi LevinsonCareer Placement Director For MSE
Mindi establishes and maintains relationships with employers in the Management Science & Engineering (MS&E) industries to encourage the hiring of students. She assists with the placement of students in the IEOR programs whose career interests align with MS&E. Mindi also collects/analyzes employment data, generates placement and related reports for the Department/School.


Jenny Mak, Executive Director
Dr. Jenny Mak is the Executive Director of Columbia’s Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Department, and Executive Director of Graduate Career Placement for Columbia Engineering. She teaches graduate professional development courses and related workshops for Columbia engineers.
