CBS Approved Electives

Below is a list of approved historical CBS electives towards the MS IEOR degrees, granted that a seat is obtained in the course.  Students must refer to the note for each respective program.  For exact course offerings in a given term, please refer to the CBS course schedule and announcements from the IEOR Department on what courses are open for registration.

Courses noted with a "No" will not be counted towards the degree. Courses not on the list are either full or not open to IEOR students.  

EMBA 7000-level courses that are equivalent to their respective MBA 8000-level courses are also approved (eMBA cross registration).

Cross Registration Process for MBA courses:

  • MSE and MSBA students register through Course Match. 
  • MSOR, MSIE, and MSFE students cross register at the Business School.
  • For 9000-level PhD level courses, student must cross register at the Business School

*Students must adhere the Add/Drop dates for CBS courses. They may differ from the Engineering School Add/Drop period.
