Abstract
What do people with quantitative skills do on Wall Street? We answer this question by reviewing different types of Wall Street employers -- from major investment banks to small hedge funds -- and explaining how each type is organized internally and what job roles they offer for people with quantitative and/or computer skills. We review the evolution of Wall Street technology and its current shape, and discuss the workplace realities of working within a technology group. The talk concludes by outlining various career options for a quantitative person on Wall Street.
