Ruth has been working in the IEOR Department since the fall of 2013. She recently took on the role of Associate Director of Executive Education in the Department. Previously, she supported the Department with career development and placement, student affairs and admissions, and alumni engagement.
Ruth received her bachelor's in history and a certificate in secondary education from North Park University in Chicago, and a master’s degree in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University. She worked as an English Teaching Assistant for the Fulbright program in Romania where she taught American history and culture to undergraduate and graduate students, followed by a year of teaching U.S. and World History to high school students in Chicago. While in graduate school, she interned at the Institute of International Education and in Washington D.C. at the Executive Office of the President. Ruth is a fan of autobiographies, all things Chicago, and traveling.
