Faculty Position in Engineering Management Systems
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia University invites applications for faculty positions starting July 1, 2010.
We seek exceptional candidates with a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field, strong methodological training, and outstanding research ability and potential.
Appointments at all levels, including assistant professor, associate professor and full professor, will be considered. Priority areas include Engineering Management Systems, Applied Probability, Financial Engineering and Optimization. Outstanding candidates who are experts in specific areas including, but not limited to, supply chain management, revenue management and logistics, and who can make significant contributions to the above priority areas are particularly weclome to apply. Candidates working in research at the interface of information sciences and the life sciences and the physical sciences as well as candidates who are interested in making connections to industry are particularly encouraged to apply.
The appointees are expected to establish a strong research program, excel in teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses, and supervise doctoral students.
