ITG, Researcher
PhD in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research

Advisor: Prof. Chudnovsky

Matthieu Plumettaz graduated from the doctoral program in 2014. He worked with Professor Maria Chudvnosky on structural graph theory. During summer 2013, he was appointed to teach the masters level course 'Analysis of Algorithms' (COMS 4231).

Before coming to Columbia University, he studied in École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) where he graduated with a bachelor's in Mathematics in 2005 and a master's in Mathematical Engineering in 2007. He did his master's thesis under the direction of Professor Dominique de Werra in graph coloring heuristics. In 2007-2008, he worked as a Scientific Fellow at EPFL. His primary research interests lie in graphs theory, heuristics, optimization and combinatorics.
