Marty Reiman

Postdocs and visitors

Marty Reiman’s research is in the area of applied probability, with a focus on the analysis, optimization and control of various stochastic service/resource sharing systems, such as queueing and inventory systems. Much of this work, motivated by problems in communication, computing and manufacturing systems, involves asymptotics, principally fluid and diffusion limits. Dr. Reiman received his Ph.D in operations research from Stanford University, and was at Bell Labs until his retirement in 2015. Dr. Reiman has been an associate editor and area editor of Mathematics of Operations Research, as well as an associate editor of the Annals of Applied Probability. He has served as chair of the Applied Probability Society of INFORMS and is an INFORMS Fellow. He is a member of the IMS and IFIP WG 7.3.
