Leon Gold is a Human Factors consultant who has taught Human Factors and Ergonomics at Columbia University’s, Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations for over 2O years.  Previously he was Director of Usability at the New York Stock Exchange and has worked for numerous clients including Bell Laboratories, AT&T, IBM, and the American Stock Exchange.  Leon’s interests include the design and evaluation of user interfaces, consumer products, and human/system interactions along with the development of personal selection and evaluation methodologies.

Leon believes we too often blame customers and employees for poor performance, when the fault lies in not designing for the capabilities, and limitations of the “user”.
