Dr. Aron Sereny received his baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. He spent the early part of his career in corporate research at Philips Laboratories where he developed low-temperature cryogenic refrigeration for the Hubble Space Telescope. Next he was a founding member of Xerox's Parc MESL Laboratory in Tarrytown, New York. Dr. Sereny is not only an engineer, but also an entrepreneur having co-founded and co-managed HealthIS, a leading healthcare software company, where he was President and CTO. As such, he was responsible for all aspects of product development, and was a major contributor to the success of HealthIS. The company achieved sales exceeding $300 million, and 2000+ installations in all states of the US, with more than 20,000 daily users. Aron enjoys skiing, white-water canoeing, and hiking throughout the world. He is glad to be back at his alma mater after all these years.
