Professor David Phillips is taking leave from the Mathematics department at the College of William and Mary to visit the IEOR Department at Columbia during the 2007-08 academic year. While at Columbia he will teach courses in optimization. Professor Phillips' research interests include convex optimization, combinatorial optimization and scheduling.
