Evangelos Pastas is currently working as a Desk Strategist / Quantitative Researcher at the Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading department. His responsibilities range from the modeling and research of new trading strategies to post and pre trade execution analysis.
Prior joining Morgan Stanley, Evangelos worked as a Quantitative Modeler for UBS where he developed from scratch sophisticated cross-asset allocation models using non-linear predictive techniques. During his studies at Columbia he was also engaged into a High Frequency Trading research project at Columbia Business School.
Vangelis graduated summa cum-laude with an M.S. in Operations Research from Columbia University in 2011. He also holds a BS/MEng in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
