Originally from California, Chelsea graduated from Columbia University with a undergraduate degree in Operations Research: Engineering Management Systems with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She had interned for the three summers at Goldman Sachs in the technology division, the investment management division, and the securities division. Upon graduation, Chelsea accepted a full-time offer with the securities division at Goldman Sachs where she worked on the derivative sales desk for two years. In June of 2016, Chelsea joined the firm’s Urban Investment Group as a senior analyst. The Urban Investment Group makes investments in real estate developments that promote economic development and is a leader in social innovation financing. Chelsea was an actively involved member of Columbia University's chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers, serving as membership chair and Vice President Internal for two years. Beyond her academic and professional interests, Chelsea is motivated by a desire to make an impact on the community she hopes to serve. She is currently a mentor coach with America Needs You where she works weekly with first generation college students in the New York area on professional development skills. Chelsea also loves to dance and has taken part in classes and dance groups across campus and throughout New York City.
