Advisor: Prof. Blanchet
Aya is an Associate at J.P. Morgan. She received her B.A. (2007) and M.Sc. (2010) in pure mathematics from the Technion in Israel, and her Ph.D. (2015) in Operations Research from Columbia University. During her time at Columbia University, she conducted research on stochastic processes and efficient Monte Carlo simulation methods under the supervision of Professor Jose Blanchet. On July 2015, she joined the Model Review Group at J.P. Morgan, focusing on Retail models.
Before coming to Columbia University, she studied in The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where she graduated with a BA in Mathematics in 2007 and a BSc in Mathematics in 2010. She did her master's thesis under the direction of Professor Simeon Reich in non-linear analysis in Banach spaces.
In 2009-2010, she was part of the EnHANTs research team in the Electrical Engineering department at Columbia university. She conducted research related to energetically self-reliant devices and worked under the supervision of Professor Gil Zussman.
