Before coming to Columbia University, Abdessamed spent two years at Ecole Centrale Paris, a leading French Engineering School, where he developed his analytic and technical skills. He had the opportunity to work on the creation of an automatic data mining software adapted to French university grading system. He then decided to apply his mathematical and statistical skills to the Finance industry and thus completed the MS Program in Financial Engineering at Columbia University. During the summer 2013, he worked as a Quantitative Associate Intern at Barclays in the Credit Automatic Market Making Team where he developed an algorithm to predict the investor's positions in corporate bonds' issuers. The algorithm was developed using Machine Learning, a field of study which his is fond. Now, he is looking forward to starting my career as a Junior Trader at Societe Generale, in New York, in the Delta One Equity Financing Team which he hopes will give him the necessary business skills and economic knowledge to widen his skill set and improve his knowledge of the industry.
